Admission of Students
The parent, guardian, or surrogate of each new enrolled in the District, except homeless pupils as defined in A.R.S. 15-824, will be asked to present the following when registering:
- A certified copy of the child's birth certificate
- Immunization records
- Photo ID (Drivers License)
- Two proofs of residency (rent or lease receipts, receipts for utility payments) Must contain parent/guardians name.

Kindergarten Students
Your child is eligible for admission for kindergarten if he/she is five (5) years of age before September 1st of the current school year.
A child who's birthday falls after the September 1st date of the current school year can enroll for the following school year.
Students New to Union Elementary District
In addition to the above information, students coming to Union Elementary Schools from another district must also provide a copy of their last report card or withdrawal slip from their previous school.
Non-Resident Students
The District may admit children who do not reside in the District upon such terms as it prescribes. A Pupil who enters a school shall present a properly executed withdrawal form if such pupil previously attended another school in this State(A.R.S. 15-827).
Arizona School Year Immunization Requirements
Immunization records are required for attendance of any child in any District school. As of January 1, 1992, schools were required to forbid attendance of (or to suspend) any student not meeting the requirements for immunization or exemption from immunization and shall suspend such students (pursuant to A.R.S. 15-843).
Parents will be notified of any immunizations that their child needs.If your child has received the required immunizations and booster doses in the primary grades, they will not require booster immunizations until they reach junior high school age.
