Parents are their children’s first teacher. From birth and throughout their entire educational journey, parents are the continuity and consistency for their child’s educational progress. That’s why it is so important that parents and teachers have open and frequent communication. One of the ways we do this is through parent-teacher conferences.
Gone are the days when you simply meet to review the report card, instead, Union ESD teachers “conference” with parents, consulting on the important matter of each child’s progress academically, socially and behaviorally.
While we hope this is not the first or only opportunity you will have to work together, it is an important Second Quarter conversation where you will discuss your child’s strengths and opportunities for growth. During the conference, the teacher and parent will work together to set goals for the child’s progress, and during the winter conference, check in on how the child is progressing.
Fall conferences run from October 31st through November 10th. Please ensure you sign up for your date and time ASAP by contacting your child’s teacher or school. Thank you for your partnership in the education of your child.

Halloween está a la vuelta de la esquina, ¡pero las conferencias de padres y maestros no deberían dar miedo!
Los padres son los primeros maestros de sus hijos. Desde el nacimiento ya lo largo de todo su recorrido educativo, los padres son la continuidad y consistencia para el progreso educativo de sus hijos. Por eso es tan importante que los padres y maestros tengan una comunicación abierta y frecuente. Una de las formas en que hacemos esto es a través de conferencias de padres y maestros.
Atrás quedaron los días en que simplemente se reunía para revisar la boleta de calificaciones, en cambio, los maestros de Union ESD "conferencian" con los padres, consultando sobre el importante asunto del progreso académico, social y conductual de cada niño.
Si bien esperamos que esta no sea la primera o la única oportunidad que tendrán para trabajar juntos, es una conversación importante del segundo trimestre donde discutirán las fortalezas y oportunidades de crecimiento de su hijo. Durante la conferencia, el maestro y el padre trabajarán juntos para establecer metas para el progreso del niño y, durante la conferencia de invierno, verificarán el progreso del niño.
Las conferencias de otoño se llevan a cabo del 31 de octubre al 10 de noviembre. Asegúrese de registrarse para su fecha y hora lo antes posible comunicándose con el maestro o la escuela de su hijo. Gracias por su colaboración en la educación de su hijo.
